Voters of the Democratic Party and U.S. President Joe Biden are happier than Republican and Trump voters, while older and wealthier adult voters are happier than younger and less-wealthy ones, according to a new Florida Atlantic University PolCom and Mainstreet Research happiness poll released today in advance of the United Nation’s International Day of Happiness on March 20.

More than a dozen local and international pollsters, political reporters, and researchers spent the semester visiting a PolCom Lab-supported class on political and public opinion polling this spring.
Taught by Robert (Ted) Gutsche, Jr., the class focused on engaging with the problems and potentials of political polling and the meanings of data that communicate important issues of the day.
